Impressive cleanliness throughout the suites adds to a cozy atmosphere. Various self-catering options available for cooking in-room provide flexibility for meals.
Breakfast not included in the stay, making mornings less convenient without nearby dining options. Sofa bed in our suite was tough to set up and had buckled legs. The basic room amenities felt lacking with no slippers or bathrobe. Cold temperatures in the room made it uncomfortable without proper heat adjustment. Our view was undesirable, facing the car park, leading to a less enjoyable experience overall.

The lodge was cozy and clean, providing stunning views, although it was somewhat dark inside and not as well-situated as hoped, leaving the balcony shaded most of the time. Staff were friendly and attentive, but cleanliness could be improved, as we did find remnants from previous guests.

Cozy Escape in the Highlands
Our Junior Suite with a fireplace felt like a home. Super clean, comfy, and the staff were all really chill. The leisure facilities, especially the pool, were well maintained. Just wish the restaurant was a bit bigger. had to wait a bit for a table. Ballater’s only a short walk away.

The one-bedroom suite with a sofa bed provided ample space to relax and enjoy the surroundings, featuring cozy furnishings that create a homely appeal. The location near beautiful hiking trails offers a fantastic base for exploring the Highlands, allowing for serene outdoor experiences right outside the door.
Navigation within the hotel can be a bit of a hassle, with multiple corridors and lifts needed just to reach the room. Some amenities felt a bit underwhelming, such as the spa area, which lacked a relaxing atmosphere, feeling more like a community pool rather than a resort retreat. I encountered issues with the television that required replacing three times, and connectivity for Wi-Fi varied significantly, making it inconvenient at times. parking can get crowded, creating stress trying to find convenient spots.
